I remember the day we brought home our first born. He was soft, tiny, warm. The lady handed him to us in a parking lot and said, “do you want him?”

“Yes, of course!” I said, arms outstretched, placing cradling him against my chest. It was Marley, and I miss him.

We got to photograph Angie and her family at the beach with Lilo in tow and the only thing that trumps the smiles being shared in the water is the look on Lilo’s face, chasing after her people in the water.
