Colorvale Photoshop Actions

The best film Photoshop action we’ve found… because it doesn’t try too hard to look film-y

I believe editing photographs is the best part of every session. It allows the photographer to polish their work, to take a particular image to the next level and apply their own distinct style to each image. We have a long editing process, which can prove time consuming especially with our underwater work. This year I really buckled down and taught myself how to manually apply edits to images in Photoshop. Still, with the amount of attention we pay to each image, and the amount of attention that each image deserves, finding an action that could provide a base for the finished product was a must. So, when I found this product by Colorvale Photoshop Actions and tried it out on some of our underwater and portrait work, I was relieved! It was low contrast enough to keep our work soft and versatile enough to use for both color and black and white images. We don’t use film so don’t try to emulate it in post-production, and this action is a perfect starter for artistic exploration!

Here are some images we edited using their Luxe Film Photoshop Actions!
