Hunter Valley NSW, Australia
During our trip to Australia before Thanksgiving we travelled from Brisbane to the Hunter Valley for Jade and Shane’s wedding day. Adam and I arrived the day before the ceremony, which met us with temperatures of around 46 degrees celscius! Luckily the day of the wedding was much cooler, and with the change in weather eventually came strong stormfronts which swept through the area.
I can’t believe the timing – lightning threatned in the distance as the two exchanged vows during their sweet ceremony, and just as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife the winds changed, the heavens opened up as guests huddled indoors while the rain beat down outside. As seasonal storms usually do though, the clouds soon parted leaving us time to grab photos of the newlyweds and their bridal party near Hunter Valley vineyards. While we drove to the reception another storm set in, and the reception venue was left without power – but that didn’t dampen the mood. The candlelight was beautiful and intimate, and Peterson House served dishes and entertained guests – the night went off without a hitch!
Thank you Jade and Shane for letting us be a part of your wedding day, here is a very small preview of what is to come!
