Fine Art Underwater Portraits on Maui

When quarantine began on Maui, both Adam and I were seeking ways to fill our cup creatively and knew this would involve underwater portraiture in some way. When working in the water, it’s important to have a subject who is not only confident and comfortable with the ocean, but can pose with elegance and grace.

Alohi was our muse under the sea for this inspiration shoot that we did at sunrise on the open ocean. We have been dreaming this shoot up in pieces over the last several years, and knew it had to include a flowy gown but also a floral bikini. It came together seemingly overnight. Some things just happen at the right time, and all the elements combined to see our vision come to life.
