Maui babymoon itinerary for after sunrise portraits
Stay on the beach! Perhaps the simplest and most enjoyable way to spend time after your babymoon portrait in Wailea is to simply stay on the beach! Pack some swimwear, a towel and reef-friendly sunscreen and plop down on the sand. The places we shoot are also incredible places to spend the morning, and sometimes the best thing to do is just stay put and enjoy the view for a bit!
Get a coffee at Akamai Head up the hill and get a coffee from Akamai in Wailea. What a treat after a fun beach maternity session!
Grab a sandwich from The Market The food here is really good. I love the Ha’ole Hoagie and Adam always gets Gino’s Dakine, but I haven’t really tried anything on their food menu that I didn’t like!
Go for a drive There are several beautiful beaches within driving distance of our Wailea shoot locations. Drive south and explore the shoreline! If you’re wanting to swim, make sure you check conditions and skip the dip at Big Beach as even on a day that’s seemingly flat, large shorebreak sets can and will develop suddenly and are super dangerous, esepcially if you’re not familiar with the ocean and rips. We’re writing a post on swimming-friendly beaches, because there are many on the right day, so stay tuned!
