“We found a spot to sit on a rock next to the ocean, where we could see the monkeys in the distance. James opened his backpack to take out an origami heart, which was a photo of the ring (left the ring at home for safety). He asked me to marry him, I said yes, and kissed him. As we kissed, our backs turned no more than 10 seconds, we heard a rustling behind us. One of the monkeys had waited for our guard to be down, swooped in, and had his whole body in our open backpack. He pulled out a bag of M&Ms, and we looked up to see the entire pack of Capuchins in the trees above us, waiting.”

“Little guy took off with our candy and all we could do was laugh. The whole thing happened so fast, there was nothing we could do. Our special moment was crashed by monkeys. It was very much our kind of luck.”
