Sunset from our window – a beach maternity portrait

I thank our landlords every night under my breath. They trimmed the trees lining our home when we moved in, giving way to a sweeping view of the West Maui Mountains – it’s out of this world. And when the setting sun lights up the sky at the tail end of the day, I find myself lifting my jaw off the ground and smiling – I feel so lucky to not only witness but appreciate such simple beauty.

When Adam is at the beach shooting a portrait, especially a maternity session, I get so excited for the expecting couple – it seems an incredible sunset is Maui’s way of soon welcoming a baby-to-be.
