When will Hawaii open to tourists? August 1st, with negative COVID test

With yesterday’s announcement that Hawaii tourism will resume on August 1st came a wide range of emotions. We’re cautiously excited and carefully planning our approach to sessions moving forward.

In the works is a guide we’ll send to our clients that addresses everything we’ll need to cover in order to keep everyone safe. Honestly, it doesn’t get more hands-off than an outdoor beach portrait – we’re always more than 6 feet away, so shooting will be a breeze! And… seriously… it’ll be over four months since our last shoot by that time, and we’re so stoked to get back to it safely!

We’ve started to book and reschedule shoots for August (typically our busiest month) so if you’re planning on a shoot, get in touch so we can lock it in! I’m sure more details will emerge shortly about where you can get your COVID test pre-departure. We’ll keep you posted as much as possible but encourage you to get information from the gov. at the source to avoid confusion.
